Central Netted Dragon

Central Netted Dragons live in central and western Australia. They are found in hot, dry, sandy areas.

Central Netted Dragons eat insects, termites, leaves and flowers. Central Netted Dragons use their sight to find their food.

This Central Netted Dragon stands 'tall' to avoid the heat from the ground.

They wait for prey to come past and then lunge and grab it in their jaws. They use their jaws to move their prey towards the back of their throat and swallow it whole.

Other reptiles, birds of prey, dingoes, dogs and foxes eat Central Netted Dragons.

Central Netted Dragons walk and climb with all four legs.

Central Netted Dragons lay between two and six eggs. They can lay two or three clutches each breeding season. Young Central Netted Dragons look after themselves.
