Conferences and Presentions

The Australian Museum has two venues which are ideal for conferences, seminars, training workshops and other business events.

The Theatrette is a state of the art theatre in the original Museum building. The Theatrette’s steeply tiered comfortable seating allows maximum visibility for delegates. 96 seats are equipped with swing-up desktops. A large screen allows for the projection of slides, videos or computer based presentations via a ceiling mounted projection unit. Lighting and audio visual facilities are controlled via a touch screen lectern.

The Terrace is located on the top floor of the Museum which gives stunning 180° panoramic views of Cook & Philip Park and St Mary's Cathedral. A balcony running the full length of the room allows natural light in and gives a bird's eye view of the length of William Street. The Terrace offers a neutral space suitable for board meetings, planning days and workshops.
