Make a difference to our natural world

Our natural world is under threat and rapidly disappearing. Australia has experienced the highest loss of mammal species in the world and several species of frog have recently become extinct.

Australian Museum scientists are contributing to research on the environmental impacts of climate change. How? By using an irreplaceable tool – the Museum’s collections. The Museum is the guardian of Australia’s most important invertebrate and vertebrate animal, mineral, fossil and anthropological collection. This priceless asset is vital to the success of the scientists’ work and their collaborations with researchers internationally.

Your help will make a difference and ensure the Australian Museum can continue to inspire people to explore questions of nature and culture.

Past support has enabled the Museum to create research fellowships; purchase scientific research equipment; offer education programs to regional students; and link Indigenous and Pacific communities to their collections held at the Museum and enrich knowledge of their heritage.

Our Annual Giving Program offers you the chance to play an important role in saving the wonders of the natural world. For as little as 73 cents per day ($250 annually) you can make a difference. Please complete our donation form now.

When your donation is received, a tax-deductible receipt will be issued and posted back to you. If you would like to discuss a gift with us please contact our Development Office on (+612) 9320 6216 or use our contact form.
