'Now that we have reached Keku's tomb, the final funerary rites can take place. Watch carefully. Keku is now being raised up for the 'Opening of the Mouth' ceremony. This is an elaborate ritual performed by priests so my dear daughter will be able to speak, touch, see, smell and hear in the afterlife. The priests are now performing our traditional practices of purification, anointing and the reciting of prayers and spells, as well as touching Keku with ritual objects to restore her senses. As part of the funeral procession, you are now required to offer her food and clothing and partake of the funerary banquet. When we have finished, we will place Keku in the burial chamber of her tomb, fully prepared for the afterlife.'
