Pupa coccinata

Pupa coccinata. Looking more like a 'snail' than a 'slug', this primitive bubble-shell is closely related the sea-slugs Hydatina and Sagaminopteron. From studying the anatomy of these animals, we can better understand how millions of years ago, sea-slugs evolved from snails (25mm).
