snails and sea-slugs: molluscs

Morula marginalba

Morula marginalba. Snails form an important part of the rocky shore intertidal community. While herbivorous limpets are often important in controlling algal growth and distribution, carnivores such as Morula, are important predators, having a major effect on the size and distribution of barnacle populations (20mm).
