snails and sea-slugs: molluscs

Thorunna montrouzieri

Thorunna montrouzieri. This chromodorid nudibranch was recently discovered in New Caledonia on an expedition organised by the Museum of Natural History, Paris, to study tropical marine biodiversity in northern New Caledonia. Dr Bill Rudman from the Australian Museum, and other invited scientists from New Zealand and Sweden also participated. This newly named chromodorid is one of over 400 New Caledonian sea-slugs being described and illustrated in a new book being prepared by Dr Rudman.
