Ataxocerithium sp. This sponge-dwelling microscopic snail, is one of the vast majority of marine snails which are less than a centimetre in length. Thousands of species of 'micromolluscs' are found in Australian waters and, although seldom seen, play vital roles in marine ecosystems.
