Painted Lizardfish

K. Smart's Painted Lizardfish illustration.
K. Smart contacted the Fish Section on November, 27 about a blue and yellow striped fish he had caught on hook and line.
Despite Kevin's excellent description of the fish, we couldn't identify it over the telephone. Thirty minutes later Kevin's illustration arrived via email.
With the aid of Kevin's artwork the fish was instantly identifiable as the Painted Lizardfish Trachinocephalus myops.
