During his 40 years of research Ogilby published 181 papers. He described (by himself and in collaboration with other workers) 154 new species of fishes.
He registered over 5000 lots of fishes into the registers in his neat handwriting. At the end of his tenure at the Australian Museum, the Fish Collection contained over 7000 specimens. Photo © Australian Museum
