I took up underwater photography about three and a half years ago when a friend lent me his camera to take on a dive trip to Vanuatu. I got two to three reasonable shots from around 15 rolls of film and I was hooked.

Macro photography is probably my favourite as there is so much to see when you stop and look. I use an old Nikonos IV with an Aqua Sea 140 Strobe with 1-2, 1-3 macro and a wide angle lens for scenic shots and sharks, turtles etc.

My wife and I are keen divers and try to dive every second weekend or so. We dive all around Sydney, Nelson Bay, Toukley, Forster, Jervis Bay, Narooma and the Great Barrier Reef. We have also done trips to Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, the Maldives and are hoping to go to Papua New Guinea this year.
