A typical day involved a morning collection in a marine or estuarine area. Then, as we made our way back to base at Lennox Head, we'd stop to collect in freshwater.

Here Tony Gill is using a fine-mesh seine in a creek near Alstonville. This site yielded one of the most interesting fishes of the trip (see next image).
