Duboulay's Rainbowfish Melanotaenia duboulayi is one of the lovely Australian freshwater fishes found along the southern Queensland and northern New South Wales coastal fringe.
It can grow to 130mm in length but is more commonly seen under 90mm in length.
This fish was collected from the blackened pools shown in the previous slide.
