tidal flat
Site NNSW 02-13 was a tidal flat near the mouth of Cudgera Creek. View larger image.

Tidal rocky areas often have very rich fish faunas.

This site near the mouth of Cudgera Creek had a maximum depth of about half a metre but contained many species of fishes.

Particularly common was the Fortescue.
