The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition is organised by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine. It is the most prestigious and successful event of its kind in the world. Amateur and professional photographers can enter, competing to be named Wildlife Photographer of the Year. The 2003 competition attracted over 20,500 entries from more than 60 countries. From these, 109 winning and commended photographs were chosen.
