Dr Winston Ponder uses the SEM to look at the shells, operculum, radula (teeth), and embryonic shells of snails for taxonomic and phylogenetic studies.
Dr Bill Rudman uses the SEM to observe the radula (teeth) of Indo-West Pacific sea slugs aiding his study of their form and function.
