The Phylogeny and Adaptive Radiation of the Caenogastropod Molluscs
This project aims to provide a robust relationship between the groups in the Caenogastropoda, the largest and most conspicuous group of gastropod molluscs.
Currently, all molecular data have been collected and analysis is in progress. Sections of five genes have been sequenced (cytochrome oxidase subunit 1, 12S, 28S sections D1 and D6, and elongation factor) in 36 taxa comprising 28 caenogastropods and 8 outgroup taxa from 3 major gastropod clades.
