Scientific name: Mormopterus sp. (unnamed by science)

Where they roost:
In tree hollows and spouts.

What they eat:
In Victoria, these bats eat bugs, ants, beetles and ants.

Conservation threats:
Vulnerable to loss of tree hollows and loss of feeding grounds by forestry activities, clearing for agriculture and housing.

Other information:
Eastern mastiff bats live in a wide range of habitats from tall open forest to open woodland and dry sclerophyl forest.
