Commercial Activities

Introduction

Audience research is an integral part of the development of all major programs at the Australian Museum. AMARC not only provides services for in-house projects but works broadly across the museum sector and with commercial clients.

AMARC provides expertise in the following areas:

  • customised visitor survey preparation and sampling plans
  • data entry, analysis and reporting
  • visitor tracking studies
  • training staff in data collection & input
  • identifying effectiveness and efficiency practices in museums
  • developing performance and other indicators
  • determine training needs
  • policy review
  • focus group facilitation
  • literature reviews and environmental scanning

AMARC works closely with AMBS Consulting the Australian Museum's professional consulting arm and to date has undertaken around 20 consultancy projects for a range of clients.
