Specialised museum-based training
The Australian Museum offers specialised museum-based training for employees of existing cultural centres and keeping places and for people who will work within those that are being developed.
During a one-week period, individuals are offered an extensive training program - based on their skill level and interests - including basic museum techniques such as collection management and conservation, management training, business strategy development, venue management, sponsorship, public relations and marketing.
