What's happening

Australian Museum Memory Book
Help us celebrate 175 years of the Australian Museum by sharing a memory you have from a visit to the Museum. We invite memories from anyone who has visited the Australian Museum since it opened in the 1800s!

175th Birthday Party
Sunday 13 October, 11am - 3pm. Bring your family to Hyde Park with a picnic and party on with performances, Dorothy the Dinosaur, science shows, birthday cake and more!

175 Years Photographic Exhibition
A selection of historical photographs that display how the Museum has evolved over time. This exhibition will be on display in the College Street Foyer from 1 September 2002 - January 2003.
